Count tissues, not layers

Take the net price after an immediate coupon and divide by the total number of tissues. Multiply by 100 for an easy shelf comparison. Record whether boxes are flat or cube shaped, because holders and storage shelves may limit your options.

Try a useful box size

A household using a tissue occasionally may value a small box near each room more than a large open box. Frequent use may make softness important, but the package cannot establish personal comfort. Buy the smallest practical pack before choosing a bulk subscription.

Keep tissues out of plumbing

Do not treat facial tissues as a plumbing substitute for toilet paper. Put used tissues in the appropriate trash stream. EPA advises flushing human waste and toilet paper only, including in homes connected to a septic system.

Before you decide

  • Multiply boxes by tissues per box.
  • Confirm a cube box fits your holder.
  • Check lotion or fragrance statements separately from value.
